Pink, PInk and more Pink

Today's card is definitely a pink one.  I'm having fun using this new paper I've been collecting from some of the stores I've been to lately.  I love this flower print and I decided to go really bright with pink cardstock.  I added some ruffle to the ribbon and a couple of fuschia flowers from WOC and Voila!  A vision in Pink!

Cute Abigail

I was up for another sketch challenge so I'm trying out the sketch at Mojo Monday this week. It's a great one.  Here's my take on it:

I used Medic Abby who is available at Paperworks Co here.  She's a great stamp--usable for many occassions.  I used some seam binding from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls are from the Dollar Store.  I added some bling with some glossy accents on the balloon.  All coloring is courtesy of copics.

Paperworks Co RELEASE DAY

Today is release day at Paperworks Co. I have two projects to show you, using two of the new stamps.  I just love this new release. The stamps are gorgeous....so cute!  If you've arrived here from Danielle's blog, you're in the right spot.  If not, you'll want to start the hop at the beginning, so hop over here

Peggy has designed some new wedding stamps.  My first project is a wine bottle topper.  I used the stamp called The First Kiss which is available at Paperworks Co.

The die cuts are courtesy of my spellbinders die and I added some pearls for accents. Wouldn't these toppers look great on the tables at the wedding dinner?  I used the color blue and white for my wedding colors for today. I used copic markers again to color the image.  If you look closely, I added some bling with some stickles on her wedding dress.

My second project is a card. Here it is:

It's a criss cross card and I used the image called Pronounced which is, of course, available at Paperworks Co.  It matches well with the wine bottle topper,a s I used the same colors of white and blue and I added the same pearl embellishments.

Here's a picture of the inside of the card:

You can see the sentiment that comes with this new stamp too.  I am totally in love with these new stamps.

Each DT Member has issued a colour challenge based on their real (or dream) wedding colours; play along with at least one of the challenges by linking up on the PWCO Blog- you've got up to NINE entries to win a prize package consisting of the entire new release AND July's PaperCard Kit!  My colors are blue and white.  Customers have 48 HOURS to enter the challenges - so their entries have to be in by 9AM MST on Monday, July 25, 2011.

Here are my colors:

Recipe Friday at Paperworks Co

Today is Recipe Friday at Paperworks Co and the recipe is Triangles, texture & three patterned papers .  Here's the card I created for this challenge:

I used an Abigail C stamp called Singing in the Rain.   I added texture using glossy accents on the puddles.  Triangles were used in the background and in the pinwheel.  You can see the three patterned papers as well.  It's the BG Marjorlaine collection available here.  Abigail is colored with copics.  I added some pearls for an embellishment.

Be sure to pop over to the Paperworks Co blog for all the challenge details. You can win a prize...and it's a great one!

Christmas in July

Even though it's the hottest day on record (47C with the humidity!) I'm in the Christmas mood and starting some of my cards. I'm using the Flaky Friends stamp from Paperworks Co.  I colored them with my copics (V04,06, YG05,09, E74) and airbrushed the chipboard snowflake with V04 then covered it with glossy accents and glitter.  I added some rhinestones for bling and used some ribbon from my stash.

Marcie in Yellow

I'm getting ready for a class that I'm teaching at Gone Scrappin' in Bloom in Rossburn. I've made a couple of sample cards, highlighting the yellow copic colors that we're going to be using, as well as the airbrush system that people are going to try out.  I thought I'd post the two sample cards so you could see them.

For this card I used the spotlight technique. I stamped two copies of the Marcie image, and used by circle spellbinder die to cut out a circle from the second image. I colored only the circle image and popped it up with a pop dot on the main image.  I like this technique as it really highlights the colors and the image in a totally different way.

Challenges for this card:

Sunday Sketch and Stamp

Crafts and Me

My second card is this one:

I airbrushed the light yellow background around Marcie. If you take a closer look you'll see that I didn't cut out the masked area between her legs--so it's blank.  I don't much like the look, but I left it so we could talk about it at the class.  I also airbrushed the pink paisley bracket up in the left hand corner.

It's my first real attempt at airbrushing and I'm definitely hooked. I'm ordering a compressor as we speak!

Happy Birthday Ken

It was Ken's birthday yesterday and here's the card I made for him.

I wanted a more distressed and masculine look to this card. I used sprockets by TH, along with some TH hinges that I distressed with ink.  I used mostly TH products for embellishments except for the 7 Gypsies photo corner.  I covered it in lustre rub, along with the hinges, and the embossed clocks.

We enjoyed dinner out and a movie. If you haven't seen Larry Crowne, it's worth a visit. It was a great movie. We totally enjoyed it.

CASE-Ing

Today's challenge over at the Flourishes Blog is to choose one of the DT's cards and CASE it.  Here's the card I chose is  created by Danielle Kennedy and you can find it here

Here's my CASE of Danielle's card:

I tried to be as true to Danielle's card as I could, but there is one thing I didn't keep the same--totally by mistake though. Ken pointed it out to me.
I used BG Urban Prairie paper and copics (Y11, B12,14,16, YG03,05, RV02,04). Buttons are from my stash and the twine really isn't twine. It's embroidery thread. I don't have much of a selection of twine, so I substituted.

It's very hot and muggy here today. A perfect day to make cards and hide inside.  Hope it's beautiful where ever you are.

A Fruity Flourish

It's that time of year here, when the strawberries are fresh and ready to be picked. I love that time.  There's nothing better than fresh produce.  That's what inspired me to use my Flourishes strawberry stamp today.  I also had the spotlight technique in mind, and it worked well with this image.

Supplies:
All die cuts courtesy of spellbinders, copic markers for coloring, paper from my stash, TH distress ink sponged around the main image, cuttlebug embossing templates, corner piece by seven Gypsies.

I was inspired to make a birthday card yesterday.

I used a Rachelle Anne Miller stamp from Paperworks Co called A Surprise Cheer.  DP is from my stash. The sentiment is from Lily of the Valley. Die cuts are all spellbinders (surprise!)  The flower charm is from SU.  Seam binding is from Wild Orchid Crafts.  Copics were used to color the image. Glossy accents and stickles were also used as embellishments.

It's great being on holidays!  I'm off to create some more today!

I love you this much

I decided I had to ink up one of the stamps I hadn't used yet.  It's sad that I have a pile of those.  So, Joline is the stamp for today.

I inked her up and colored her with my copics and decided to continue with the MFT Wednesday Sketch.  I also used two of the dies that I recently purchased from MFT--the rolled daisy die and the notebook edge die-namic.

I really like how it turned out. Have you noticed my watermark?  I have to thank my son, Stephen, for showing me how to get them onto my cards. Thanks Stephen!
