Magnolia's are available in Manitoba!

Did that get your attention?  Marilyn at Scrapbookers Anonymous and More in Winnipeg has a great selection of Mini Magnolia's and is getting in the regular sized Magnolia stamps!

It's so exciting for all of those of us who are Magnolia fans. I was there on Saturday and drooled over the Mini M's.

Head over to Scrapbookers Anonymous and More soon, cuz they won't last long!

I have to tell you that I had a wonderful time with Marilyn and all her customer's at Scrapbookers Anonymous and More on Saturday. I taught two Copic marker classes and had a blast!  You ladies were wonderful to work with and I'm so looking forward to our next class later in March. It's going to be tons of fun.

If you stop by Scrapbookers Anonymous and More, tell Marilyn I said 'hi'.

UPDATE:   The MAGNOLIA's are due to arrive in the store around March 8th!

You're a Star!

I'm enjoying working with metal. I'm using metal sheets from Making Memories, but I'm running out. I might have to try something else. If you use metal sheets, what do you use?

I've used my glimmer glaze and painted a couple of coats on the star after I embossed it with the swirls cuttlebug folder.  I embossed the background paper with another cuttlebug folder to add more texture to the card.  The stars were cut out using the star spellbinder die.  The sentiment is from the Asian Gardens set from Waltzingmouse Stamps.  A copper brad was used to hold the smaller star onto the larger star.

Dandelions in the Wind

This image makes me long for hot summer days. The wind blowing......dandelions in bloom...seeds floating in the wind.  I guess winter is dragging along for me.  Only a couple of more months though.

I used my first Lily of the Valley image called Dandelion clock.  I colored her with copics and added some stickles for sparkle.  I've used my favorite color pink for this card.  I have used this color quite often lately.  I added some texture with two cuttlebug folders and distressed them with some ink around the edges.  The patterned paper is definitely a favorite of mine--it's my last piece!

Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow I'll be making the draw for the blog candy winner.  I hope you enjoyed your long weekend as much as I did.  See you tomorrow!

Wow!  I'm amazed!  Thanks so much to all those who have become followers.  You have made my day.

Altered Metal

It's blog waltz time!

I'm experimenting with Glimmer mist again and I saw the neatest idea on the Tattered Angels blog and thought I'd give it a try. This is the result:

I embossed a sheet of metal using a sizzix folder and sprayed it with a pink glimmer mist. Once it was dry, I painted it with Glimmer Glaze and let it dry.  I think it looks great. I love the colors.  I know I'll be experimenting more with metal and Glimmer products.

To fit in with the theme of the blog waltz at Waltzingmouse Stamps, I had to use buttons, and you can see the tiny button brads that I've added to the image.  I also used the Rescue Remedies stamp set that is available here

Please leave a comment. I love to hear from those who stop by. Don't forget to enter my blog candy here.  Thanks for waltzing by.

Look Ma----No Markers!

These Teeny Trees have been calling at me for a couple of challenges now, but I just haven't had the right idea for using them. This time everything fell together.

These stamps are available at Waltzingmouse Stamps.  I stamped the tree, leaves and bird with razzleberry ink from SU. The dotted circles are also from the same set and are stamped with versamark and embossed with clear embossing powder. I used the rectangle spellbinder dies to emboss the rectangle shape on the background of the burgundy cardstock.

Another CAS card.  I'm loving them.
